Based on her observations of shadows upon the ground The artist took months perfecting a technique to express objects with two dimensions onto canvas. The subject is a mirror of its own, while the canvas is carrying its own interpretation painted by the object, particularly when it's a live object or perishable like people or fruit. Alexa Meade's painting style, that is extremely ephemeral nature, is apparent. The only thing of Alexa's art that survives is her photograph. Photography and painting are tightly together to produce two-dimensional flat surface which is trompe-l'oeil. Certain places the three-dimensional space can be observed, such as around the eye or on the hair. Meade has integrated her painted models within the 3D space that surrounds them. Interaction between them and the created environment is conceivable. By doing so, Meade has dissolved the boundaries between photography, painting and the performance.
