Personal highlights for Niykee include getting selected to be part of Snoop in the YouTube Brandcast, in May 2013 and composing songs despite all the turmoil of the past few years. Young producer has been drawn to her, and is always looking at most recent beats. Many end up inspiring song ideas. It's easy to tell when a beat's good after the first five seconds, and I'll have a song in my head and start writing right away she tells. While I'm on my porch and play guitar, my lyrics simply appear and usually are done in less than 30 minutes. Niykee has found that her pain in the past provides an endless source of motivation. It's hard to avoid the painful memories of my childhood, and especially the loss of my sister. The memories end up getting included in her songs. The music I write is shaped by it and I sense the deep meaning behind everything. It's among the elements that is significant to me.
